Hibiscus (Scientific Name: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) is a species of tropical hibiscus, a flowering plant in the Hibisceae tribe of the family Malvaceae. It is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions, but is not known in the wild, so that its native distribution is uncertain. An origin in some part of tropical Asia is likely. Hibiscus tea is an herbal tea that’s made by steeping parts of the hibiscus plant in boiling water. It has a tart flavor similar to that of cranberries and can be enjoyed both hot and cold. It is also widely grown as an ornamental plant in the tropics and subtropics.

Preparation method:
- Boil water. Different types of tea require different water temperature to brew.
- Warm up teapot.
- Put tea into teapot and add hot water.
- Cover teapot and steep tea.
- Strain tea solids and pour hot tea into tea cups.
- Enjoy it with added honey or stevia leaves to add sweet taste.
